International studio - New York - Sagmeister & Walsh

International studio - New York - Sagmeister & Walsh

Sagmeister & Walsh is one of them studios that produces work that provokes a variety of emotion and responses from there varied aesthetics and often questionable concepts and deliveries that doesn't follow a particular trend or set of rules but uses process's and concepts that are perfectly informed for the purpose of the client there designing for. Clients seek Sagmiester & Walsh for there unique multi discipline approach to there design process and the identities they create resulting in brand identities and design work that stands out.

As my interest is conceptual brand identities I feel following the progress and working of Sagmeister & Walsh has informed my multi discipline broad approach to carrying out a creative problem, there small 5 team studio covers a range of disciplines which I feel need to be considered under any branding outcome as branding is anything from a name change all the way to physical signage, web design and curation.

Unique outcomes that strengthen my point of not following a particular style or trend within there aesthetics, are probably achieved by the vast range of cultures, attitudes and specialisms within the 5 designer team.

Here is a typical example of the range of work the studio produce following different aesthetics, process's, medias and physical outputs ranging from digital, to print, to physical application to props and installation showing the versatility of graphic design and how branding and identities don't have to be limited to a mediocre logo and web package where concepts are relevant an organizations image can be enhanced no end with the exploration of abstract outputs like these.

Here they combine multiple process's and mediums to merge together print, technology and digital media perfectly, encompassing future oriented digital media with a system that regenerates the company logo based on a program created where music and imagery can be input and converted into logotype and illustrations that fit the brand identity and tone of voice.
