Local studio - Leeds & Sheffield - Studio Belly Timber, DUO and The Designers Republic

Local studio - Leeds & Sheffield - Studio Belly Timber, DUO and The Designers Republic

Studio Belly Timber
Adding a humorous tone of voice too a studio name can result in instant recognition and further investigation from the end user wondering what sort of work a studio named like this creates, it also creates memorability. Something very important in a brand identity.

This humorous tone of voice is carried through the description of the studio, I often outline how avoiding the typical commercial corporate direction within branding agencies is important so by maintaining a more personal approach to the tone of voice and use of language a more personal communication with the end user is obtained.

The work produced out of this studio maintains this idea of personality through the unique aesthetics in all the work produced that dont follow a set style and shows creative freedom, the message has certainly been considered when it comes to producing a resolution.

DUO
Duo is a handle or a sub brand used for the design studio Us Two, sub brands often branch off from the main brand to better describe a certain specialist service of the overarching brand. Duo sums up the studio's collaborative focus very well.

In the description of the studio they focus on communicating to potential clients the combined experience they both share giving a certain sense of trust with the end user. Trust is important in a brand and little elements like this give potential customers confidence in the work there having produced. After working in collaboration with people before I understand the benefits of two minds that have different specialisms to create a more informed outcome that considers multiple directions.

The diverse outcomes really do represent the combined mindsets of two designers.

The Designers Republic
Like Studio Makgill The Designers Republic work off there reputation within the creative industry and recognition through the work they have created for huge clients, rather than taking influence from this studio I see them more of an inspiration, to have this kind of recognition established under a studio name is something all designers aim for.

The work they produce is diverse and moves with the times, at current they explore quite digital methods of image and type making using bold colors. Paying attention to trends is important when it comes to keeping up with competition within the creative industry, clients want uptodate work so keeping an eye out on the competition is always important.
